As well as other fantastic creatures. As well as dystopian futures and post-apocalyptic stories. The important thing is that the writer is original, that he does not limit himself to imitating the work of others, but creates new stories and new themes. Today the fantastic needs originality. And originality is achieved by thinking and documenting. We must forget that if a novel has been successful, then all other writers can have the same success with a work of the same literary genre. Success is achieved with narrative skills and study.
My experience in documenting the Phone Number Data fantasy element For my fantasy novel I need a great deal of documentation, primarily historical and geographical. The story is set in a foreign country and in the past and so mainly I need to find information about how people lived at that time in those places and who was in charge and how they could get into that state, etc. The story has a fantastic component, but magic has nothing to do with it here. So I'm looking for books on the myths and folklore of those people - and I already have a good list on Amazon - and I started reading two that I already had.
I also intend to contact the embassy of that state in Italy to ask for further information of a cultural nature and, furthermore, a trip to those places is planned, but the thing is a bit complicated and for now it remains as an idea. How do you document yourself for a fantastic story? Do you limit yourself to the notions you already know from hearsay or learned on TV?Giacomo Arrighi rested in his tomb forever, torn from life by a vengeance returned to earth by a bizarre whim of fate. Adelmo Forsetti finally rested in peace. Maybe it was just the howling of the wind or the confusion due to the fumes of alcohol and sleep, but the cemetery keeper, the following year, on October 2nd, swore he heard a distant laugh sounding eerily in the ghostly night .
